"Assuming you're referring to the character, and not the character actor, no." Pause. "Is this really the best time to be asking that sort of question?"

Maybe it's the blood rushing to his head from being upside down. "There's a bad time to ask about Superman?"

Fraser wriggles a little more in his bindings and determines that this may require more drastic measures if he's going to get loose.

"Well, there are a few rather more pertinent topics to our situation that we could be discussing," he rejoinders.

That water is getting awfully close.

"Like who's going to feed my turtle when I DROWNED."

He jerks at the restraints. Yup. Still solid.

"I hate water."

"It's winter. He's hibernating, Ray. That should grant him approximately three months before he would require another feeding, which would be more than enough time for someone to recover him from your apartment should the worst in fact occur."

He's being reassuring, in his own way.

There's a rather elongated pause. "That makes me feel so much better, Fraser."

[chicagomountie]

Fraser turns his head - well, as much as his current position will permit, that is - and offers his friend a winning smile. "You're welcome, Ray."

There's a rather loud and disconcerting crack.

Ray gives him that look. Then it instantly disappears as he ears perk up.

"What was that?"

He glances up, thinking maybe the floorboards have finally given out due to their combined weight. Ray isn't sure what he likes less, hanging upside down or the thought of plunging into the water.

"My shoulder dislocating," he replies helpfully.

That should help him maneuver a little more easily--

"You did that on purpose?!"

"Well, it's not as if I could ask you to help me in your current predicament, Ray," is the answer.

Now, if he wriggles like so... and like so...

[not_that_ray]

"You're a freak Fraser," is the automatic response. He means it of course in the nicest possible way.

[chicagomountie]

"Understood."

A freak who is managing to slip an arm loose from his bindings.

Yes, it's rather painful. But the other options before them right now aren't too appealing either.

"Dislocation before death. Is there a chapter in the Mountie handbook on that? They teach it to everybody?"

He just won't shut up, a sure sign he's worried. His gaze shifts regularly between Fraser and the water.
